Bar AdmissionMember of the Brussels Bar Professional FocusIvo Van Bael started to practice law in a Wall Street firm in New York in 1963 and later worked in its offices in Paris and Brussels. His main areas of practice are EC competition/antitrust law and EC and WTO trade law. He has been involved in a large number of the most significant competition cases over many years. Ivo Van Bael has been active in both the American Bar Association (ABA) and the International Bar Association (IBA). From 1987 to 1989, he was the Chairman of the Antitrust and Trade Law Committee of the IBA's Section on Business Law. Ivo Van Bael speaks English, Dutch, French and Italian.
