Professional FocusPrior to joining Van Bael & Bellis as an associate in 2007, Claire François qualified as a French lawyer in Paris. In the course of her legal training, Claire worked in the antitrust department of a leading international law firm based in Paris and at the European Court of First Instance (now General Court). Prior to that, she worked as an intern at the Directorate-General for Competition at the European Commission dealing with international affairs. Claire François’ practice focuses on all aspects of EU and French competition law. In addition, Claire regularly advises on various questions of French data protection law and represents clients before the French data protection authority. Claire speaks French and English. PublicationsClaire François regularly contributes to the firm’s newsletter VBB on Competition Law. She is also a contributor to the 5th edition of “Competition Law of the European Community”, Van Bael & Bellis (2009). |
